Find it, fix it, explain it
Electrical problems rarely fix themselves. A flicker or a warm outlet is usually a loose or failing connection, and those get worse over time.
We troubleshoot the circuit, find the actual fault, and repair it properly. Then we explain what happened in plain language, so you know whether it was a one-off or a sign of something bigger.
Common repair calls
- Outlets or lights that stopped working
- Breakers that trip or won’t reset
- Flickering or dimming lights
- Warm, buzzing or scorched outlets
- Faulty switches and dimmers
- Aluminum wiring repairs
- Baseboard heaters that stopped heating
- GFCI outlets that keep tripping
Smoke, sparking or a burning smell? Turn off the breaker if it’s safe to do so, keep clear, and call 911 if there’s any sign of fire.
If the repair points to a bigger problem, like a panel that’s failing or wiring that should be replaced, we’ll tell you and quote it for free: panel upgrades or rewiring.

FAQ
Common questions
A breaker keeps tripping. What should I do?
A breaker that trips is doing its job: something on that circuit is drawing too much or has a fault. Try unplugging things on the circuit and resetting it once. If it trips again, leave it off and give us a call. Don’t keep resetting it.
Half my outlets stopped working. Why?
Often it’s a tripped GFCI outlet somewhere else on the circuit, or a loose connection at one outlet that feeds the rest. Check for a GFCI with a reset button first. If that’s not it, we’ll track it down.
Do you take emergency or after-hours calls?
We work weekdays from 8 to 5 and call back within 2 hours. If your whole street is dark, it’s likely a power company outage. If there’s smoke, sparking or fire, call 911.
Do you repair aluminum wiring?
Yes. We repair and update aluminum wiring using connectors and devices rated for it, and can tell you whether the rest of the home needs attention.
How much does a repair cost?
It depends on what’s wrong. We can usually give you a ballpark the same day, and our invoices are itemized so you can see exactly what you paid for.
